Enjoying MG September
Here we are at the end of August already! Like many of you, I have been driving my MG a lot during this sunny weather. It was nice to see so many of you at the August Club Night . Terry arrived in his immaculate Lancia Fulvia and Mike in his Porsche.
Martin has recently used his immaculate Riley at his daughters wedding – the photos are lovely. Most members have at least one MG, but we’re always happy to welcome any classic cars and their owners as it makes the club more interesting and resilient.
We had thirteen members join us for a cross country drive to the Black Horse at Ireland, including new members Simon and Caroline in their MG Midget. They also have a Triumph TR3.
Ian and Yvonne enjoyed the Octagonal Run at High Wycombe – their second. It was a spectacular tour of 97 miles, with a half way stop at Milestones Museum. They recommend the event as it covers a new part of the country for us.
The Last of the Summer Tour is back! Mike and Alison have revived this excellent event, A 50 mile tour, starting at 2pm and ending at Lavendon – aircraft cockpits and miniature railway. It’s in aid of “Little Lives”.
