A quick follow up from Wednesdays Club Night.
We got January off to a flying start with the New Years Day Run. We had 11 cars on the run and 23 people at the Red Lion at Milton Bryan. Everyone enjoyed the run, although the pub was disappointing. Looks like we’ll need to find a new one for next year
We had a new member, Geoff, come along. He has recently acquired a MGB V8 Roadster. Looking forward to seeing (and hear) it in the warmer months.
Club night was relatively quiet, so we ran through the events for the next couple of months
Wednesday 1st February – Club Night at the Inn on the Lake
Thursday 16th February – Evening run to either Towcester Brewery or to Woburn Ale
Wednesday 1st March – Club Night at the Inn on the Lake
Wednesday 15th March – Proposed Flight Simulator in Spitfire and Boeing 737
Mark Lowen is hoping to have all of the planning issues resolved in time for us to have a group take to the skies in a Spitfire.
Thursday 23rd March – Club Curry Night
Roger is planning for us to have a cross country run to an interesting curry restaurant.
We have got another busy year planned. Please see the Events Calendar, get the dates in your diaries NOW!
MILTON KEYNES CLASSIC TOUR
Once again our club plans to support this worthwhile charity event organised by Mike and Alison Cornwell. So far I have the following people who have volunteered to be marshalls:
Brian Rolfe, Ian Whipp, Malcolm Pryme, Chiv Parslow, Alan Sayer.
Please let me know if you’d like to join us – it’s always a good day out.
Manx Classic and Donington Historic.
I am planning a trip with some mates to the Isle of Man at the end of April. We will visit the new motoring museum, drive the TT circuit and watch the Manx Classic Hill Climb. On the way back we’ll be stopping at Donington for the Historic race event. If you’d like to join us, please let me know and I’ll forward the details.
