We had an enjoyable Club Night on Wednesday. Thanks to everyone who sent in their suggestions for events in the coming year – it was very helpful.
Thanks to Stephen who told us about the Oakley Classic Car Show. It was excellent and definitely one for next years calendar
It was nice to welcome some potential new members. Remy Dubois has a 1970 MGB GT in blaze. Phil and Jackie Walker have three MGs – an MGB GT and two ZRs. Phil is a regular in the MGOC Race series.
Best wishes are sent to Terry who has had an eye op, and to Tim who has been suffering with flu.
Please check out our website. Ian has posted a very useful article about E10 fuel – it should answer all your concerns.
I have included (above) a link to our website and would encourage you to use it.
Committee
We are delighted that a number of people have volunteered to either join the committee or offer support with some events / activities. The intention is to meet monthly in advance of the club night. The committee will be as follows:
– Brian – remain as club secretary / chair
– Ian Whipp – Treasurer / website / regalia (and general hero)
– Yvonne Whipp– general support of events and new members
– Roger Garnham – will be our events coordinator
– Roger Stevens – will set up technical register for tools or spare parts
Plus
– Stephen Sofer has agreed to collate information on classic car shows in the area
– Martin Bilham will look after some events (see Cobweb Duster below)
– Dave Gossage has volunteered to organise some mid month runs etc
If anyone else would like to join the committee or offer support, please just let us know.
Finances etc
Thanks to everyone who has paid their subs covering the period up to Nov 2022. We are now back in a financially solid position again. If you’ve still to pay your subs, please arrange a BACs payment (we can send details).
T Shirts
We have now have a new edition to our clothing range, T Shirt’s with the clubs Badge embroidered on them in a smaller size than we normally have on sweat shirts and fleeces.
They come in 33 colours and from small chest size 35/37 to 5XL at 56/58, so all should be able to find one to suit.
They are Fruit of the Loom make and are priced at £12.50p each.
If you require any, then please contact to club via our normal e-mail address, marking the subject as T-Shirt Order.
The article on T-Shirts dated 6th October has a link the the brochure, giving information on sizing and colours available.
EVENTS:
Roger Garnham has set up a calendar spreadsheet showing potential events through to the end of 2022! It is an impressive list and still has a lot of mid month events and static shows to be included. 2022 is going to be a fantastic year for the club.
It will be on our website shortly.
