Goodwood Revival
The continued growth of the Goodwood Revival is remarkable, every day was packed with people parading around in their various attempts at period costumes. Not sure it’s a motoring event anymore, it’s been 6 years since I last went and the campsite was probably 20 times the size. The heavy rain on Saturday made it feel like a Glastonbury festival.
The Kop Hill Climb was a revelation. We’re glad we took their advice and arrived early. It was a really good day out – loads of gorgeous cars that I’ve never seen before, a great atmosphere, good food (ie including bacon sandwiches) and a sunny day. I’ll add it to next years calendar as a reminder.
Hopefully you’ll have all passed on your ideas for events that you’d like to do next year at the October meeting. November will be our AGM when we plan to have a draft calendar for 2017 available.
If anyone would like to be club secretary or support the committee in any way, please let us know.
Due to popular demand we intend to have another night at the Dog Racing at Towcester on Friday the 14th October. Entrance is free, car parking is free, there are bars and food vendors – as well as opportunities to bet. Due to large HD screens you don’t even have to go outside to watch.
Get the date in your diaries.
We will also have our annual club Christmas dinner in late November or early December.
