Enjoying MG October
It has been a strange sort of month with so much happening, since our club night 7th September, the sad loss of our Queen and the proclamation of the new King, Charles III.
Club night saw some 16 members attending including newest member Steve Hunt, while Brian Rolfe our sec managed to get a holiday to the USA for a month.
At the MGB 60th at Gaydon we had five club members attend and three cars in the “Timeline Display.” The event hosted, we believe, around 1500 “B’s” of all colours from far and wide. It was a great event and roll on the 70th, I might just make it?
We had members attending Kop Hill, Sywell Aerodrome Classic “Piston & Props” and the Goodwood Revival as well as the fortnightly visit to Oakley Classic Car Meet on Tuesday evenings.
When you read this we will have members attending Mike & Alison’s Last of the Summer Tour starting at Woburn and finishing at Lavendon miniature railway on the 2nd October and the Kimber Run at Ambergate motor museum on the 9th. There is one last mid month run out planned before the clocks go back and winter is upon us.
Reminder club nights are on the first Wednesday, the next 5th October.
