Enjoying MG February
Well, New Years Day was busy for club members, with quite a contingent attending a busy Stony Stratford classic car show. It’s great to know the interest in classic cars continues grow and attract a growing number of supporters.
New Years Day continued with our annual January Cobweb Duster.
The run was a great success with 20 people attending. Martin and Jackie met us at the Inn on the Lake and took us on a delightful drive across country to the Horse and Groom in Clapham.
The pub did a great job, they made us feel welcome and supplied us with excellent and interesting food. Rosie even had a chance to practice her fluent Spanish on the landlord.
I’m writing this in the last week of January, by the time you read this we ill have had our February club night, and then it’ll be our March 2nd club night where we hopefully start firming activities for the Spring and Summer of 2022.
We have days out to National Trust properties, mid month lunch /dinner runs, trips to Le Mans and hopefully to Spa in Belgium.
Don’t forget that 2022 is the 60th Anniversary of the MGB. There will be a significant event at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, organised by the MG Car Club, MG Owners Club and the MGB Register. To be held on the 25th September. It promises to be a great day out.
Hope you’re all well and we look forward to seeing you at a club night soon.
