MK MGOC CLUB NIGHT FOLLOW UP October 4th 2023
http://www.mkmgownersclub.org.uk
Last night’s meeting was a small and a quiet affair, with eleven members attending, Brian called in earlier to say he had a heavy cold, so gave his apologies.
We reviewed the previous months events :>
- On Sunday the 1st October, a number of members attended the Last of the Summer Tour organised by Mike, Terry and Alan, it was a great success, ending at Broughton Castle for a cream tea and guided tour of the castle. It was great to see Alison at the event after her illness and accident, we all wish her a speedy recovery.
- Jackie and Martin’s run and BBQ on the 13th August was another great event, raising a donation of £480 for the Trisomy illness in memory of their grandson Ben. Jackie expressed a view that they might consider doing another run next year.
Events for the remainder of the year
- Bicester Scramble is on the 8th October.
- The Classic Car Show at the NEC is from 10th to 12th November.
- Possible run out on a Sunday lunchtime which all felt would be supported, the 22nd looks to be best. The suggestions for two venues were The Old Thatched Inn – Adstock and The Falkland Arms – Great Tew,to be considered. ( Please send your ideas in please)
- Our next Club Night is the 1st November and includes our AGM, any volunteers for Club Sec and membership and Treasurer, please let us know.
- Also we need to consider Christmas Dinner and Club Night on the 6th December or another venue or extra meal. (Suggestions or preferences please)
- The New Years Cobweb Duster run, suggestions are the Horse and Groom – Clapham and The Green Man – Lavendon.
Although the group was small there was a discussion on front braking issues with “B’s” with Ken and Roger making very useful comments.

Regards Brian & Ian
