What a day out!
Our June event was a run to Bourton on the Water, organised by Chiv.
Thankfully, he has managed to get his MGTF head gasket repaired in time so could enjoy the top down drive.
The day was fine and dry as 14 cars met up before heading off for the first stop at a beautiful Cotswold village. The Falklands Arms at Great Tew was an ideal stop and all agreed it would be nice to revisit another time.
Parking at the British Legion had even been arranged for us as we arrived at our destination.
It was then that the cunning secret plan was exposed – all of Ian Whipps family were on the riverside to wish him a surprise “special” birthday. They a gazebo, with snacks and cakes for everyone to enjoy with their picnic.
Happy Birthday, Ian!
Most of us went into the motoring museum in the town, it was delightful – not only classic cars but so much interesting and unusual memorabilia.
A very big thank you Chiv for a great day out
