July started in a flurry.
First we had members attending the Cotswold Caper run on Sunday 3rd, a very good 108 mile run that started in Cheltenham, then through Winchcombe, Stow-on-the-Wold to Bourton-on-the-Water, where we had a welcome stop. After that we travelled through Sherborne to Lechlade on Thames for lunch, then via Fairford, Bilbury back to Cheltenham.
Monday the 4th, was Aylesburys Pride of Ownership night at the Arrows at Waddesdon, a few of our members attended, but alas did not win any prizes this time. Another good night out with fine Sausage and Mash, thank you Aylesbury.
Wednesday the 6th we had 8 members travelling to the Le Mans Classic, for our regular continental run, I’m sure we will hear about it very soon after they return on the 10th.
Wednesday 6th should have been a quiet Club Night, with only one new member Cliff due to attend and a few members. I arrived to find not one but three new members and a good number of members and variety of cars.
We had Robert who has a treasured red GT, which needs a little TLC and some support, Cliff with a GT but did say he would not chance a long run with this one, (he’s had others) and Val who has an RV8 plus Land Rover, an Yamaha RD, for speed and fun and another motor bike a Michelin!! we all had not heard of this one and it was suggested his garage would make an ideal run out event.
The club welcomes them all and hopes they will enjoy and get involved in its activities.
