Enjoying MG November
It’s the end of October, the weather continues to be kind and the nights are drawing in. Cars are starting to be readied for the winter, tucked up in garages, winter projects planned.
Do keep attending the club nights at the Inn on the Lake – a great place to socialise with like minded people and friends.
Mike & Alison ran the Last of the Summer Tour, ending at Lavendon Miniature Railway which was a great success. (the MK Classic Tour this year raised £8000 for Little Lives).
The Green Man at Lavendon was chosen for our final MK MGOC Mid Month Run of the year, with 13 members attending. We had a very pleasant drive and the pub made us very welcome.
The MGB 60th event at Gaydon proved to be a big success. We had 5 members attending, well done to Chris and the MGB Register. Roll on MGB 70!
We had 5 cars attending the Kimber Run starting and finishing at the new motor museum in Ambergate, a great run around the Derby Dales.
I’ve recently returned from Estoril Portugal, watching historic racing. Grids included the Marlboro and John Player Special Formula 1 cars that we all remember from the “olden days”.
Terry Mike and Alan are already signed up for the 2023 Le Mans Classic and plans are being made for Spa Classic as well as international rallies.
By the time you read this we should have had our AGM at November Club Night. Please let me or Ian know if you’d like to help with running the club. We have a solid membership now and any extra support or ideas will be gratefully
received. Results of the AGM will be in next months article. We will also discuss the Club Xmas.
Cheers
