Enjoying MG September
Enjoying MG:
In September 10 members came for the Mid month run to the Crooked Billet Newton Longville for ‘Steak Night’. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and Nessa/Paul & staff did us proud with the beautiful meals and service.
Last of the Summer Tour; Sunday 22nd September: Arriving at Woburn Village Hall around 1pm, bit overcast, many had decided to come with their everyday cars but a few braved it and bought their Classics. The first of the 35/40 cars departed around 1.30pm .Terry & Michael had devised the route of 50
miles which everyone said was brilliant. One hiccup, a flooded road manned by a Police Officer which saw some turn round but a few hardy ones drive through it, good fun!
The rain held off until a couple of miles from Hungerhill Vineyard Stewartby our destination for Afternoon Tea’. Tea was served whilst the rain was cascading down, intermittent power cuts, but that didn’t put a dampener on the atmosphere, a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Andrew , who
owns the family run vineyard took us on a ‘wet’ tour of the distillery, really impressive.
We have been at the Inn on the Lake for many years now and it has proven to be a good location for us as a club. Unfortunately, the pub is closing earlier and earlier, with last orders being called at 8.45pm. So we need to discuss alternatives: ideally located in Milton Keynes, adequate parking, enough space for us to have a social chat.
Coming Up:

8th to 10th NEC Classic Car Show. A good event to round off the Classic Car Year.
