We had 21 people attend the Scrabble Run – our May event. The weather stayed dry and so the roadsters had their roofs down. Starting with a cuppa and bacon sandwich at the excellent Super Sausage on the A5.Teams had to plan a route and navigate their way to the restaurant chosen for lunch. Loosely based on the scoring from the board game it involved the driver and navigator to working closely to achieve the highest score. It was a fun event with Malcolm and Janet as eventual winners, closely followed by Andrew and Eamonn. We had a roast dinner at the Bottle & Glass pub, at Gibraltar, near Aylesbury. A good day out. Unfortunately the day was marred by Chiv having to drop out with the dreaded head gasket failure. Hopefully he’ll get it back on the road soon. In June we’re off to Bourton on the Water for a picnic lunch, car museum tour, finishing off with an evening meal in a local restaurant. It promises to be an excellent day out. Chiv is coordinating this event for us. The mid month pub and dinner runs start in July. Terry has already chosen a lovely county pub at Stratton Audley for us to visit for a beer and dinner. Roger has volunteered to choose our August mid month pub run. These evening are a very pleasant way to spend a summers evening, so make sure you keep an eye on the website. See you all at the club night. Happy motoring, Brian
