Any good for next months ‘Enjoying MG’ January

Good evening,
Hope this is of some use ;
Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year;   We started 2025 with our usual “ Cobweb Duster” Run to the Green Man Lavendon Beds for a 1pm meet. It was a very wet & windy morning with a majority of us using our everyday cars. The turnout was terrific, 25 in all,  and a very enjoyable few hours  was had by all. Our other local show on the 1st January, The Stoney Stratford Vintage Show was cancelled at the last minute due to the adverse weather.
Our Christmas Dinner on 4th December at the Crooked Billet NL was very well attended 30 sitting down to eat , our thanks go to Nessa , Paul & Staff for a lovely meal.
Our first club night for 2025 is on 5th February 7.30pm at Inn on the Lake  when we hope to make plans for forthcoming events. We have had a few suggestions, more welcome please.

CLUB NIGHT & AGM FOLLOW UP – NOVEMBER 2024

Brian and Ian have been running the Club now for 11 years and we regularly attract around 20 people to club nights, mid month runs and other events

We had 20 members attend the Club Night & AGM on November 6^th

The Club has settled into three main streams:

– Social /Mid Month Runs / Club Nights

– Tours and Shows

– International and Motorsport

CLUB OFFICERS

Brian and Ian have been running the Club now for 11 years.

We are grateful to the support of Yvonne Whipp, Martin & Jackie Bilham

Brian would particularly like to thank Ian Whipp who does an incredible job as Club Treasurer

Brian would like to step down from the Club Secretary role in January 2025

If anyone feels they would like to take on the role please contact Brian or Ian

AUDIT SUMMARY

Covering period Nov 23 to Nov 24 (although club membership year runs January to December

It is 11 years since Brian and Ian took over the running of the club, with some members still attending since prior to 2008.

Paid up membership runs at a steady 20

Club funds have recovered successfully from the covid pandemic.

Year opening balance was £535.04

Income was £381.10 (subs/regalia payments)

Expenditure £ £419.37 (website / regalia /stationery / gifts)

Closing balance November £ 496.77

It was agreed that membership will remain at £10.00 for 2025

LOCATION FOR CLUB NIGHTS

It was agreed to continue using the Inn on the Lake, but all meetings will start at the earlier time of 7.30pm

4^th December– Club Christmas Dinner at the Crooked Billet in Newton Longville – We have 26 people attending

1^st January – New Years Day Cobweb Duster. Our annual New Years Day run to the Green Man at Lavendon, an opportunity to have a relaxing chat with friends. Timings: Meet at Inn on the Lake at 11.50am Set off at midday Arrive at green Man Lavendon 12.30pm

7^th January – Bicester Scramble
