It was good to see you all at the September club night. We welcomed Daran Scarlett to the club, he was expecting delivery of an MGA the following day. I was delighted to see so many club members offering support and advice to him. One of the benefits of being part of the club is all the advice and support from like minded people in a friendly environment. Our club event this month was to Mark Lowens new business Fly a Flight in Leighton Buzzard. In addition to his Boeing 737 flight simulator Mark has just completed installation of a Spitfire, compete with realistic cockpit! Eight of us took the opportunity to “fly” over the English Channel, along the coast and land at Shoreham (where there was a Spitfire Squadron in World War 2.) It was great fun, however we should count ourselves lucky that the defence of the realm wasn’t in our hands! In the next room Mark is in the process of setting up a Messerschmitt Me109. The aim is to combine the software and have dogfights. A future night out. Make sure you all keep an eye on the website for upcoming events. Don’t forget that November will be our AGM, please come along so we can hear your views and collect ideas for events in 2018. It is also an opportunity to vote on your committee members, including club secretary.
