Kimber Run Sunday 10th October
Geoff & Liz and Yvonne & I did the Kimber run from the National Memorial Arboretum, Litchfield, the event organised by the MGOC and billed as the birthday run.
We both travelled up on Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately Geoff & Liz could not get booked into our Premier Inn but think their one was a bit better, although ours was only a couple of miles from the start. We used the A5, A51 and finally A38, a good motoring road, especially from MK to Hinckley.
The weather was dry and good not cold, so tops down for a very good 86 mile run, with a very good tulip map to follow and ended back at the Arboretum.
We met a couple of fellow MGB roadster owners, Emma & Neil from Hereford in Emma’s Old English white and Herman & Ann from Coventry in a green “B”. We chatted and I gave then a couple of our cards in case we can meet up again. Ann mentioned a run the “Lincoln Imp” which we could consider.
We stayed the Sunday night and left after breakfast, only to bump into Geoff & Liz as we entered MK, what a coincidence!!
