Enjoying MG Post November
It’s the end of October and many of you have tucked your cars up for the winter, so now is a good time to think about 2022.
Roger Garnham has set up a calendar spreadsheet showing potential events through to the end of 2022, Ian has added it to the website. We’re trying to show a range of possible events for the year to be supplemented by more spontaneous events like country house visits, curry nights, static shows, breakfast meets, quiz nights, dinner outings etc.
We welcomed some potential new members. Remy Dubois has a 1970 MGB GT in blaze. Phil and Jackie Walker have three MGs – an MGB GT and two ZRs. Phil is a regular in the MGOC Race series. Also we will have Steve Edmonds coming to club night with his MGB.
Thanks to everyone who has paid their subs. We are now back in a financially solid position again. If you’ve still to pay your subs, please arrange payment to Ian.
We have a new edition to our clothing range, T Shirt’s with an embroidered MK MGOC logo, priced at £12.50.
Coming Up. There are quite a few of us heading to the NEC for the Classic Motor Show in November.
To date 28 people have booked to come to the Christmas Dinner scheduled for the December Club Night. Please let me know if you’d like to come along – 3 Courses £25.95 2 courses £19.95. Menu – Xmas 2021
January 1st 2022 – Annual Cobweb Duster. We are booked to go to the Horse and Groom at Clapham (thanks again to Martin & Jackie) on New Years Day. The plan is to meet at the Inn on the Lake and have a 30-45 minute cross country drive for lunch and a relaxed chat with friends.
