Enjoying MG November
Enjoying MG:
By the time you read this the clocks will have changed and we’ll be into late autumn. Don’t use it as an excuse not to drive your cars – we still get some bright and dry days, so get out and enjoy them.
Brian has been out with Mike Cornwell preparing the route for the 2019 MK Classic Tour. Mike has found some lovely roads, heading up into Northamptonshire.
After Millbrook ( a wonderful driving experience), we head up to Holdenby Castle for a coffee stop. Then across to Silverstone where we will be visiting the British Racing Drivers Club facility for lunch. (We won’t be able to go to the Porsche facilities this year but a visit to the BRDC should be a great change).
Mike will be handing out entry forms for the Sunday 8th April 2018. Get the date in your diaries! I will also be asking
for volunteers to act as marshals on the day.
Hopefully we’ll have had a good turn out at our AGM. It’s your chance to get the events that you want into the 2018 calendar. Brian is struggling with time to carry out the club secretary role and really needs some help. We’ve
always prided ourselves on being an active club with a lot of events, so please volunteer, it’s not difficult and you’ll even enjoy it.
The general consensus was that we support the Inn on the Lake by having our Christmas dinner there again. We have made a booking for Thursday 7th December and will be sending out invitations and menu choices shortly.
We are also planning to continue our New Years Day Run. It’s proved hugely popular over the years.
It’s a good opportunity to get those cars out and enjoy the fresh air after a week of over indulgence.
