Once again MK MGOC supported the Milton Keynes Classic Tour with marshalls thank you all, as the event would not be able to run without you.
With 216 cars entered this year, ranging from a 1920s Vauxhall, umpteen variations of Porsches, Aston Martins, MGs, Lancias, Ferraris, etc, a spectacular dispay of automotive art. The huge gathering of cars began at Poplars Garden Centre, before heading off to the Millbrook Proving Ground – a petrol-heads dream!
Everyone then toured towards the Bucks Railway Centre for a mid run coffee stop, before heading off to Silverstone, where the team at Porsche excelled themselves once again.
Mike and Alison estimate that the Little Lives Charity will receive around twelve thousand pounds (£12,000’s) this year. Many of us are parents and grandparents and appreciate the role that the neonatal special care unit does. Long may it continue.
Andrew and Brian are heading to the Isle of Man to drive the TT route, watch the Manx Classic and visit the new museum. On the way back we’ll spend a couple of days at the Donington Historic. Brian will be travelling in his mates 5 litre Ford Mustang!
May 14th will be our fun annual navigation and driving event, driving through the countryside, followed by a roast lunch at the Hare and Hounds at Old Warden. Make sure you get your name on the list.
June is a busy month with MG Live at Silverstone, Classic Car Night at Jacks Hill Cafe and a party planning to go to the Spa Summer Classic. Club members are also attending the New Forest Run and the Cotswold Caper again this year.
